Master Miguel Vasquez

Master MIguel started his Martial Arts journey when he was only four years old. He joined a school in Marietta, GA where he learned Ho Shin Do from Master John Carroll. Later that same year the school would be named A+ Martial Arts led by Master Jim Blunk in Woodstock, GA. Being taught by two instructors Ho Shin Do from Master Carroll and Taekwondo from Master Blunk , he harnessed two different styles of Martial Arts achieving a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Ho Shin Do and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. As the years went by he took on a new challenge in competing in tournaments where he competed in several including the Battle of Atlanta and the Universal Challenge. Wanting to compete at a higher level it was time to move on to a new school where he could train and better understand the meaning of competing at a higher level.

 

In 2010 he moved to Shims Taekwondo Academy in Marietta, GA led by Master Young Jin Shim. There he further grew learning and developing his Taekwondo skills hoping to reach a competitive level to reach the USAT National Championships. After training for almost a year there, an incident occurred that caused him to leave the which is where he met Master Eid Koja owner of Tiger Martial Arts Taekwondo School. Master Koja took on his training and coached him during the Georgia State Qualifiers, the South Carolina State Qualifiers, the Georgia State Games, and the USAT Nationals. Master Koja then went on to certify Master Miguel's Black Belt with the World Taekwondo Federation and the Kukkiwon Organization. Miguel's father also coached and trained through this point in time as well leading him to win several competitons such as the Peach State Open, the Atlanta Open Taekwondo Championship, the Universal Challenge, the Georgia Martial Arts Festival, the Georgia Game State Games,
